He Iwi Kāinga is the Tūwharetoa Settlement Trust’s housing strategy, set up in 2019 to help with the housing needs of Ngāti Tūwharetoa whānau.

After talking to our people, we found there is a real need for more Affordable, Safe, Healthy, and Accessible homes for our whānau.

He Iwi Kāinga is a team of our uri working together to support our iwi whānau, following kaupapa Māori values.

We offer services that are designed for our iwi and our way of life.

 

Our He Iwi Kāinga team believes all our whānau deserve a stable home, for their mana, our tamariki, and future generations.

Kāinga Rua – support for those looking to develop the whenua with housing

Whāi Kāinga – support for those wanting to purchase their first home
