Nau mai, haere mai and welcome to Sorted Kāinga Ora.
Join us over the next 6 weeks as we walk together through the homeownership journey, financial wellbeing, and planning for your future.
Sorted Kāinga Ora has been designed to create a safe, supportive, and judgement-free space where whānau can learn, ask questions, share experiences, and build confidence around money and housing.
Over the course of the programme we’ll cover topics including:
• Understanding where you are financially right now
• Saving and budgeting
• Debt and credit
• KiwiSaver and grants
• Homeownership pathways
• Planning for the unexpected
• Building long-term financial goals and aspirations
Classes can run for up to 2 hours each week, depending on kōrero and activities.
We encourage everyone to engage openly, support one another, and respect the different journeys and experiences shared within the room.
As part of the programme, you will receive:
• 8 workbooks to complete across the programme
• A personal spending diary
These resources are yours to keep and are designed to help record your learning, reflections, goals, and progress over the coming weeks.
Our goal by the end of the 6 weeks is for every participant to:
• Have a clearer understanding of their financial position
• Feel more confident navigating housing and banking conversations
• Understand what is needed for homeownership
• Feel comfortable taking the next steps toward pre-approval if they choose to
